Cirno (チルノ) is a character from Template:Series Touhou and is one of the Anti-Nine.
Appearance[edit | edit source]
Cirno has aqua-coloured eyes, hair and icicle-shaped wings. She wears a large blue ribbon to tie her hair, a white blouse and blue jumper dress. On her feet are laced white socks and aqua-coloured shoes.
Personality[edit | edit source]
Cirno is very carefree and childish, and enjoys playing pranks on others. She finds it very difficult to study and is considered by many to be stupid. She was once incredibly confident in her skills and was not happy to follow orders, especially from Template:Biography Shikieiki (Touhou). However, after misusing the Template:Biography Death Note (Death Note), Cirno has been a lot more responsible and lost a lot of self-esteem. She has been more keen to learn languages, especially English, but struggles to study nonetheless.
Policies[edit | edit source]
- The Subordinate
After misusing the Template:Biography Death Note (Death Note), Cirno has been scared of responsibility, preferring to let others make the important decisions.
- Template:Biography Unwritten Law (The Three Kingdoms)
Cirno is a proud upholder of the Template:Biography Unwritten Law (The Three Kingdoms) with the belief that it is harder to incapacitate and imprison someone rather than kill them, showing her skills.
Skills[edit | edit source]
Powers[edit | edit source]
Template:Biography Divine power (Touhou)
- Cirno is capable of using Template:Biography divine power (Touhou) to power spells and Template:Biography spell card (Touhou)s.
Ice Template:Biography fairy (Touhou) powers
- Cirno is an ice Template:Biography fairy (Touhou), melting into water at high temperatures. While compared to many, Cirno is considered to be weak, Cirno is relatively strong among fairies.
- Template:Biography Danmaku (Touhou)
- Cirno is capable of forming a barrage of Template:Biography Danmaku (Touhou) with little effort.
- Ice manipulation
- Cirno is able to manipulate ice, including forming it, but she cannot make it disappear.
- Template:Biography Regeneration (Native)
- As a Touhou fairy, Cirno will regenerate almost immediately after dying if it would not result in Cirno dying again. Unlike most other fairies, this includes if the area is too hot.
Template:Biography Transvection (Native)
- Cirno is capable of stable flight.
Talents[edit | edit source]
Ranged
- While Cirno is potentially quite powerful, her accuracy is poor, so she tends to resort to wide area of effect attacks.
Intelligence
- Despite her infamous standing, Cirno is not stupid. She is naive and suffers from a poor memory but is otherwise a shrewd thinker. Unlike her fellow fairies, she can write Japanese and calculate simple algebra. Admittedly, this is below the usual standards for a Template:Biography human (Native) given how long Cirno has lived.
History[edit | edit source]
Doomsday[edit | edit source]
Template:Biography The First Year (The Three Kingdoms), Post-Doomsday[edit | edit source]
Cirno met Template:Biography David Ælious Sun (Final) and his android, Template:Biography KC (Final), who gave her free educational tutoring.[2]
Template:Biography Doomsday's First Anniversary (The Three Kingdoms)[edit | edit source]
On the release of Alice Elizabeth Raymour from Template:Biography Gensokyo (The Three Kingdoms) prison, Cirno was ordered by Template:Biography Shikieiki (Touhou) to escort Alice to Ælious. As they discussed how Alice could regain her eyesight, Cirno suggested they visit Alice Margatroid, a Dollmaster, who resided in the Template:Biography Forest of Magic (Touhou), Template:Biography Côte d'Ivoire (Native), Template:Biography Africa (Native), and offered to fly Alice there.[3]
On the way across the Template:Biography Atlantic Ocean (Native), Cirno, carrying Alice, came across a fight between a Template:Biography Gensokyo (The Three Kingdoms) scout force consisting of Template:Biography Hakurei Reimu (Touhou), Template:Biography Kirisame Marisa (Touhou), Template:Biography Yakumo Yukari (Touhou), Template:Biography Remilia Scarlet (Touhou), Template:Biography Flandre Scarlet (Touhou), Template:Biography Ibuki Suika (Touhou), Template:Biography Konpaku Youmu (Touhou), Template:Biography Hinanai Tenshi (Touhou), Template:Biography Reisen Udongein Inaba (Touhou), Template:Biography Onozuka Komachi (Touhou) and Template:Biography Shameimaru Aya (Touhou), though Reimu was unable to fight due to the breaking of Template:Biography The Hakurei Barrier (The Three Kingdoms), struggling against the HMS Thunder Child and Atlas. Cirno was able to freeze the water around the Thunder Child, freezing it in place as a member of the crew of the Thunder Child, Template:Biography Solace (Arcania City), prevented its operator, Template:Biography Sora Muziku (qrullgx13), from hurting Alice, Solace's friend, and hence firing upon Cirno. This prevented proper use of portals, allowing Template:Biography Metal Gear RAY (Metal Gear), piloted by Template:Biography Kawashiro Nitori (Touhou), to get close and rip a hole in the side of the ship. However, Atlas, who was blocking the gap in Template:Biography The Hakurei Barrier (The Three Kingdoms) was pushed back, allowing the warm air of Template:Biography The Yamaha Kingdom (The Three Kingdoms) to mix with the cooler air in Gensokyo. This created a cyclone that sucked up both Cirno and Alice and threw the two into The Yamaha Kingdom just before the Hakurei Barrier closed, preventing their return to Gensokyo.[4]
Yamaha was suffering from global warming so Cirno began to melt, Alice having to use her angelic powers to carry Cirno instead. Alice, with Cirno's help, avoided Yamaha forces and followed Template:Biography The Sonic Barrier (The Three Kingdoms)[5] back to Template:Biography Canada (Native)[6]. In an attempt to distract Cirno from her suffering, Alice, based on Cirno being interested in story writing, suggested that Cirno should plan villains first, based on the judgement of her writing friend, Solace. Upon landing in Template:Biography Newfoundland (Native), they were unknowingly greeted by Template:Biography Kasane Teto (UTAU) who escorted them to a Template:Biography UTAU (The Three Kingdoms) security van where they found Template:Biography Ilissia Reverie (Xenosnake) strapped to the van floor. Once Alice released Ilse, Yamaha and Gensokyo dropped their borders with each other, cool Gensokyo air flooding in, allowing Cirno to recover. With the barriers down, KC contacted them and directed them to Template:Biography Hopital de Moncton-Service de santé zone de Moncton (Native), Template:Biography Moncton (Native), a hospital converted into a high security garage that Yamaha had used to contain newcomer cars when it was in their territory. Cirno spotted Template:Biography Postman Pat (Postman Pat)'s red van while Ilse noticed The DeLorean. The three commandeered Template:Biography The Ecto-1 (Ghostbusters) and began driving back to Ælious' house but were followed out the garage by Template:Biography KITT (Knight Rider).[7]
However, Yamaha executed Template:Biography The Meltdown Directive (The Three Kingdoms), four nuclear fission plants around Template:Biography Lake Ontario (Native) exploded, forcing Cirno, Alice and Ilse to leave the Ecto-1 and allow KITT to take them back the way they came, away from the radiation. Directly after, Template:Biography Suzumiya Haruhi (Suzumiya Haruhi) broke through the Hakurei Barrier and took over Gensokyo.[8]
Original Events, Pre-DeLorean[edit | edit source]
Angry, Cirno decided to start planning a story and wrote down Haruhi's full name, unknowingly[9], as she was unable to read the English instructions on the inside of the front cover[10], in Template:Biography The Death Note (Death Note)[11], killing Haruhi thirty seconds later with a heart attack, later realised by Ilse, Alice and KITT.[12]
They were suddenly intercepted by Yamaha and Template:Biography portal (Portal)ed to Template:Biography Barbados (Native). After the death of Haruhi and the merging of Gensokyo and Template:Biography The North High Colony (The Three Kingdoms) into Template:Biography High Gensokyo (The Three Kingdoms), the Yamaha administration had realised there are many Template:Biography newcomer (The Three Kingdoms)s in America who were very powerful and had an advantage against androids including Vocaloids and UTAU. It was decided that an alliance with High Gensokyo would be necessary. As High Gensokyo was also looking for assistance in their own territory, an exchange of prisoners was arranged as a sign of goodwill. Cirno, Alice and Ilse were to be traded for Template:Biography Sora Muziku (qrullgx13), Lynette Bishop and Solace. However, during the exchange, all six prisoners abandoned both kingdoms and boarded the Thunder Child with Template:Biography Santiago Miguel Rivera (Hawk), Template:Biography Naluri Sihara (XenoAisam) and Template:Biography Sasaki (Suzumiya Haruhi) on board, piloted by KITT who had managed to slip into the sea.[13] The nine of them, excluding KITT, would become Template:Biography The Anti-Nine (The Three Kingdoms).[14] It was revealed to the crew of the Thunder Child that Cirno directly killed Haruhi and it was decided that they would head north to Template:Biography Canada (Native) were The DeLorean was being held. However, Ilse, Lynette, KITT, and, to Cirno's disappointment, Alice decided to disembark, preferring to not get involved with time travel.[15]
The Thunder Child was intercepted by the helicarrier Template:Biography Iliad (Marvel Universe), under the controls of Template:Biography White Rock Shooter (Black★Rock Shooter THE GAME), Template:Biography Superman (DC Universe) and Template:Biography Superboy-Prime (DC Universe)[16], of the Template:Biography The Anti-Humour Society (The Three Kingdoms), a massive group of people devoted to the collapse of Template:Biography The Three Kingdoms (The Three Kingdoms)[17]. The Iliad successfully took hold of the Thunder Child by a tractor beam, dragging the warship out of the water where Sora discovers Black was being imprisoned on the Iliad. In an attempt to disable the tractor beam and rescue Black, Sora, Solace and Naluri boarded the Iliad, Cirno staying aboard the Thunder Child. However, Sora was caught by Superboy-Prime and was thrown into an android assimilator, her entire data transmitted to Doom, though the data was also intercepted by Template:Biography KC (Final). Upon learning about the Thunder Child's crew's plan to use The DeLorean to prevent Cirno's use of The Death Note on Haruhi, Doom gave permission for the Iliad crew to disregard Template:Biography The Unwritten Law (The Three Kingdoms). White successfully disengaged the tractor beam, freeing the Thunder Child not long before Superboy-Prime exploded the Iliad.[18] It was decided that Cirno, along with Marisa and Sasaki, would use The DeLorean.
To get to The DeLorean as fast as possible, Template:Biography Kagamine Rin (Vocaloid) used the Thunder Child's Template:Biography hyperdrive (Star Wars) to hover over land to the garage. However, Template:Biography The Statue of Liberty (Native), which was capable of firing slime, attempted to stop the vessel in midflight. Kirisame Marisa overclocked the hyperdrive with her Hakkero, forcing the ship faster but the hyperdrive exploded, taking Marisa with it.[19] Once they crash landed by the garage, Cirno waited by The DeLorean, as the rest of the resistance attempted find a power supply for the car. Template:Biography Victor von Doom (Marvel Universe), the leader of the Anti-Humour Society, destroyed the controls to the garage shutter, the shutter slowly closing automatically, which would have prevented The DeLorean from leaving. Gumi intervened, holding up the shutter. However, Template:Biography Max Eisenhardt (Marvel Universe) pulled Gumi away from the shutter with his magnetic powers. Cirno attempted to freeze the shutter in place but the ice was unable to stop the shutter from lowering. She commandeered Postman Pat's red van and parked under the shutter, reinforcing the frame of the van by freezing the vehicle, with herself inside it. This successfully kept the shutter open, allowing The DeLorean through.[20]
The DeLorean's Changes[edit | edit source]
Naluri and Sasaki successfully used The DeLorean to time travel back to just before Haruhi was killed by the Death Note but Sasaki abandoned Naluri after Template:Biography The Hand Canon (The Three Kingdoms) was used on Haruhi.[21] In the end, due to the presence of reinforcements at the garage, Cirno did not have to resort to sacrificing herself.[22] She witnessed the death of the future Naluri and the disappearance of the future Sasaki.[23]
Template:Biography The Second Year (The Three Kingdoms)[edit | edit source]
Cirno decided to learn how to read and write English and pleaded Alice to become her teacher.[24]
Template:Biography Yggdrasil (Digital Monster X-Evolution), a sentient crystal ball, was briefly released from statis in Template:Biography The Arctic Prison (The Three Kingdoms) to allow Haruhi to examine him for danger. As an Template:Biography Invisible (The Three Kingdoms), he was deemed a harmless object but was placed back in statis just in case. However, in the time he was free, he digitalised the surrounding area, making the statis ineffective. The digitisation spread throughout the universe, including Cirno.
Template:Biography Doomsday's Second Anniversary (The Three Kingdoms)[edit | edit source]
Yggdrasil's digitalisation inadvertently freed Template:Biography Skynet (Terminator) and granted Template:Biography The AI Director (Left 4 Dead) digital access to the universe, who controlled everyone they could.[25] Feeling under threat, Yggdrasil took control of all intelligent non-humans excluding digital machines and sentient inanimates, including Cirno.
The three of them, later known as Template:Biography The Digital Three (The Three Kingdoms), agreed to stage a fake war to coax Template:Biography Rokiahi (XenoAisam) to feel true fear, the last missing emotion of The Hand Canon, to allow them to return to their original worlds. Under the guise of a difference in ideals between Haruhi, Miku and Reimu, Template:Biography The Three Kingdoms (The Three Kingdoms) were refounded. Cirno joined Template:Biography The North High Colony (The Three Kingdoms), said to want everybody to be free.[26] As part of the plan, Gensokyo declared war on Yamaha and North High.
Cirno and Ilse later appeared, on Yggdrasil's behalf, at Template:Biography Castle Doom (Marvel Universe) to 'help' Rokiahi and Template:Biography Little One (The Three Kingdoms) out of the Castle. They encountered Solace and Alice, both part of Gensokyo, and fought. Cirno died first, melted by an blood-enraged Alice in Solace's friction-caused fire.
